At OUDESIGNLAB, we build with purpose. LYTE is the result of our ongoing exploration into lighting that enhances both space and well-being. More than just a lamp, it’s an experience—crafted to support natural rhythms, elevate ambiance, and merge function with simplicity.

Design & Engineering
Our approach to LYTE was both technical and human-centered. We engineered a sleek, minimal form with carefully selected materials for durability and aesthetic balance. The internal system integrates precise dimming control and warm-to-cool light adjustment, allowing users to tailor their space with ease.
From 3D modeling and prototyping to material selection and electronic integration, every element of LYTE was tested and refined. The result? A lighting solution that feels natural, looks seamless, and functions effortlessly.
The Idea
Good lighting is more than brightness—it shapes mood, productivity, and comfort. LYTE was born from the idea that lighting should adapt to people, not the other way around. We wanted a design that felt intuitive, responsive, and effortlessly blended into daily life.
The first prototype: fully assembled with basic functionality. USB-C powered, testing illumination strength. Fun fact; LYTE here is illuminating the whole shot.

This lamp was so bright, we had to turn up the aperture and increase the shutter speed to it’s maximum value to see the light from within.
The chip we’re using boasts up x6 brightness to any conventional high powered bulb you can get at the super market or hardware store.
(Noting the conventional bulb being a mean brightness of 1000 lumens.)
